Apple roll is something we like since our childhood. Do you feel this incredible smell? Not yet? Then it’s time to start cooking. You’ll need the following ingredients:
- 4 large apples (peel it and chop in advance)
- 1 1/2 cups plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (if you like this spice)
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tsp. vegetable shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 cup nondairy creamer (it could be Silk brand or any other)
Put a large pan over medium heat, and mix apples, the 1 1/2 cups of sugar, and the cinnamon on it. Stir slowly until the apples are soft.
Then make dough by mixing the 2 Tbsp. of sugar, the flour, vegetable shortening, baking powder, and nondairy creamer. Then flour some surface, and roll the dough into a rectangle on it. Take the cooked apples, spread it over a rectangle, and roll up. Make 7 or 8 1-inch-thick round slices, and bake for 20 minutes, until browned at 350°F (don’t forget to check it from time to time).
