Spicy Taco Seasoning

taco-seasoningIf you like taco (vegetarian one of course) and want to cook it yourself you should better prepare a special seasoning for it to make it taste more delicious and special. It has to be a spicy food, so, our seasoning includes:

  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp. granulated onion
  • 1 tsp. Mexican oregano
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. cornstarch (optional)

Garlic and onion are recommended to be used in a granulated form rather than in powdered one because in this case they are considered to be much more flavorful. Cornstarch is offered here for thickening purpose, and you may not use it if you don’t want to.

To make the seasoning take a spice grinder to mix and grind all the ingredients in it. When you get something like that on the picture you can stop grinding. Keep it in any glass jar you like for those cases when you cook taco “meat”.
