Romantic Vegetarian Dinner: Spaghetti with Olives and Capers

 Spaghetti with Olives and CapersSpaghetti are always associated with Italian cookery and Italy. Italy in its turn reminds us about romantic walks and dinners. Let’s try to make a sauce that is ideal with all types of pasta. Make sure you have everything at hand before you start. So, for this sauce you will need:

  • 12 oz. dried spaghetti1/2 or 1/3 cup virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 or 1/3 cup virgin olive oil
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. capers, drained and rinsed
  • 12 Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
  • Freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 unwaxed lemon
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

To make a good pasta just follow those simple instructions on the package. At the same time heat the oil in a saucepan. Put there the garlic; in a minute add there the capers, olives, and lemon juice, and keep it cooking for about a minute more. The sauce is almost ready. Put it on top of your pasta and add parsley. Before serving add freshly ground black pepper… And have a nice romantic dinner!
